LUTHER, Okla. (AP) -- Officials in Oklahoma have lifted an evacuation order for a community threatened by a wildfire.
Mannford residents were ordered to evacuate Saturday after a wildfire in the area burned 78 square miles and threatened the city.
A Mannford Police Department dispatcher says the order was lifted about 7 a.m. Sunday. The dispatcher told the Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/NhUX5t ) that some land in the city limits burned but no structures were damaged.
Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management spokeswoman Keli Cain told the newspaper structures in the county around Mannford, Creek County, were destroyed. Cain says she doesn't know how many homes or buildings were lost.
Cain says the grass fire continues to burn.
