JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) -- A house fire in Jackson has killed a 6-year-old girl and injured her parents and older brother.
Firefighters say they have ruled out arson, but continue to investigate the fire that broke early Sunday morning.
The parents and their 11-year-old son were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where they are on ventilators to help them breathe. Authorities have not been able to talk with them about the fire.
Fire officials say the parents jumped from a second-story bedroom. The father and a neighbor tried to get into a first-floor bedroom where the girl slept, but were forced back by the flames.
Firefighters found the boy inside the family's car in the garage.
