Michigan "Bonnie and Clyde" Won't Get a Jail Wedding

LAPEER, Michigan (AP) -- Two bank robbery suspects could have had a wedding in jail. But now a sheriff in Michigan says forget it.

Harold Holt and Elizabeth Bruman are accused in a September heist north of Detroit. The sheriff had offered to wed the couple if they surrendered before committing another robbery. But the couple didn't give up.

Instead, they were arrested in Wyoming on Friday. Officials say they were traced through telephone calls to a homeless shelter in Cheyenne.

The suspects are being held in a Wyoming jail pending extradition to Michigan. Officials say that process could take at least a week.
