SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (AP) -- Police are describing today's shootings at a tire shop in the Los Angeles area as a murder-suicide.
They say a gunman shot one person to death and wounded two others, and then apparently killed himself.
Police found the victims after responding to reports of shots fired at the tire shop at around 7:30 this morning.
All of the victims were employees or customers.
Two men are hospitalized -- one in critical condition, and the other in fair condition. They're both expected to survive.
The shootings took place in Simi Valley, west of Los Angeles. Based on crime reports, it's often classified as one of the safest cities of its size in the country.
