BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Three people are dead and as many as 200 more are homeless following a Louisiana apartment complex fire.
Fire officials in Baton Rouge say the blaze was reported about 10:30 last night and took about six hours to get under control.
According to a fire department spokesman, some residents of the complex escaped by jumping from second and third story windows.
About three dozen residents spent the night at shelter set up at a nearby high school. Investigators are searching for a cause.
