BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- Police in Boulder, Colorado, say a man in a wheelchair at a hospital who claimed his oxygen tank had a detonator was shot and injured by police after a four-hour standoff.
A spokesman at Boulder Community Hospital says Terrance Baughman was shot in the chest and was in critical condition after surgery. It's not clear why Baughman was at the hospital. He had once been a patient there.
A police spokeswoman says Baughman was shot after he got out of the wheelchair during the standoff.
Police used a robot to remove a red bag found in the suspect's possession. It was taken to a nearby park and detonated.
