CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Police say traffic came to a stop on a busy Charlotte street over the weekend when two naked women and two naked children walked down the road.
The Charlotte Observer reported (http://bit.ly/13dEW7E ) a child neglect complaint was filed with the Department of Social Services Saturday against the children's mother.
Police say a women in her 20s was walking with her mother in her 40s and a toddler and newborn baby down Providence Road, prompting traffic delays.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Capt. Rod Farley said the women told officers the Lord had told them to walk down the street naked.
The women and children were taken to a local hospital for an examination.
