O.J. Simpson stopped by Nevada troopers

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- O.J. Simpson, whose robbery-kidnapping trial gets under way in Las Vegas today, had another encounter with police on the way there.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers stopped the NFL Hall of Famer on Interstate 15 south of Las Vegas yesterday. A trooper says Simpson was pulled over after someone he spoke with at a gas station reported he appeared to be intoxicated

The trooper says no signs of alcohol were detected -- that it looks like the only thing Simpson did "was be nice to somebody at a gas station."
