Judge dismisses long-missing Pa. woman's lawsuit

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A federal judge in Pittsburgh has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a woman held captive for 10 years.

Judge Gary Lancaster ruled Friday the lawsuit failed to meet the statute of limitations.

Tanya Kach sued her captor, police and a school district. She said not enough was done to find her.

Attorneys for Kach filed an appeal Monday.

Kach surfaced in 2006. Security guard Thomas Hose is serving five to 15 years in prison for sexual assault and other charges.
