Pa. jury convicts man in child pornography case

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A federal jury has convicted a suburban Philadelphia man who produced thousands of images of himself abusing children as young as 3 months old.

Forty-one-year-old John Jackey Worman is guilty on more than 50 charges of child pornography.

Jurors announced their verdict Wednesday afternoon. They had started deliberations late Tuesday.

Worman had cameras mounted in the bathroom of a friend who baby-sat children in her suburban home. He made the videotapes over a three-year period between 2003 and 2006, capturing children as they undressed and showered at the sitter's home. Prosecutors say he also sexually abused eight other children.

The jury is now set to begin deliberating the case of co-defendant Dorothy Prawdzik. Prosecutors say she posed children in front of the hidden cameras.
