SAINT MARYS, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested two brothers who escaped from a sheriff's office in southeast Georgia.
Danville City, Va. police arrested 19-year-old Justin Kyle McIlrath and 22-year-old Matthew Robert McIlrath during a burglary Saturday. The brothers face charges of forgery, larceny and burglary in Virginia. They also face charges of theft by bringing stolen property into the state in North Carolina. The name of the city was not available.
Camden County Lt. William Terrell says the two used bolt cutters to cut through a fence at the Camden County Sheriff's Office substation at Saint Marys on Sept. 20.
In Georgia, they are charged with escape, burglary and theft of an automobile in addition to the charges of burglary and criminal interference with government property they faced prior to their escape.
