Inauguration-Latinos

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Latinos are celebrating Barack Obama's upcoming inauguration.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were among those at a Washington party hosted by the National Council of La Raza and other Hispanic organizations. There was no visible sign of the marital trouble tabloids have been buzzing about recently.

Lopez made a pitch for Obama, telling the crowd that "We all stood together and said 'Yes we will."'

Wilmer Valderrama, one of the stars of "That '70s Show," was also there. Valderrama actively promoted registration and voting among young Latinos during the election.

It was mostly about entertainment, though some politics got mixed in too.

Tony Plana of TV's "Ugly Betty" says he's ecstatic about Obama's victory, though he says Hispanics deserved a better spot on the inaugural festivities list.

Sunday night's party at Washington's Union Station wasn't an official inaugural event.
