BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say four people are dead following a fiery crash on Phoenix's outskirts.
Maricopa County Sheriff's spokesman Chris Hegstrom says an SUV struck the rear end of a sedan Saturday afternoon near the suburban community of Buckeye, just west of Phoenix.
The spokesman tells the Arizona Republic that the sedan caught on fire and the driver and three passengers were killed.
The driver of the SUV was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
No other details on the crash on Maricopa County Road 85 near Airport Road were immediately available. No names were released.
