WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities have found members of a scout troop who were missing in the North Carolina mountains overnight.
An official says the eight Boy Scouts and three adult leaders are now "out of the woods" and "they're fine."
She says the scouts had gotten off a trail and waited until daylight before resuming their hike.
Officials sent a fresh rescue team with some tracking dogs early this morning.
Several of the scouts had cell phones, but service in the area is spotty.
The sister of one of the lost scouts says he was finally able to get cell phone service this morning. She told CNN "they had plenty of food and water."
The father of one of the troop members says the group is experienced. He says they've been on a lot of campouts and were well prepared.
