Ohio woman drives into crowd, injures dozens

LIMA, Ohio (AP) -- Hospital officials in northwest Ohio say up to 30 people were injured when a woman suddenly drove her car into a crowded town square. Witnesses say some people were pinned under the car and freed when bystanders lifted it.

A spokeswoman for St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima says 28 to 30 people were treated for various injures Friday night. All but four have been released. No one was killed.

At least one other victim was taken to a hospital, and two are in serious but stable condition.

Authorities had said earlier that 20 to 25 people were injured in the accident in Lima, about 80 miles south of Toledo.

Police say some victims suffered serious injuries to legs, heads and necks.

Police are still investigating.
