MAHNOMEN, Minn. (AP/WVLT) -- Legendary country singer George Jones has cancelled a concert scheduled this week due to illness.
The Shooting Star Casino, Hotel and Event Center in Mahnomen, Minn. expected Jones to perform Friday. This is the second time Jones has rescheduled the concert after rescheduling in April to recover from an upper respiratory infection.
According to the Shooting Star statement from Jones' management team, the 81-year-old singer is ill with a virus and doctors are treating him.
Jones apologized to fans for the inconvenience.
Shooting Star says rescheduling the performance will not happen, but ticket-buyers will receive a refund in seven to 10 days.
