RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- Princess Di was known for her keen fashion sense. Visitors to the Southern Women's Show in Raleigh, North Carolina, this weekend will get a close-up look at some of her most iconic gowns.

Tony Doblin, the executive producer of `Diana, the People's Princess,' explains the exhibition is about the life of Princess Diana and `tells the story from childhood to her unfortunate death, through her clothing.'

Doblin says the dresses are owned by Maureen Dunkel, who bought them eight weeks prior to Diana's death, as an investment in textiles. She had no idea that eight weeks later her life would change forever following the death of Princess Diana.
