NEW YORK (AP) -- A New York City jury is expected to see video of a British man convicted in an aborted shoe-bomb plot.
Prosecutors said Thursday that the video of Saajid Badat will be played at the trial of Adis Madunjanin.
His lawyer insists that Medunjanin is not a terrorist. He has pleaded not guilty to charges he plotted with two other would-be suicide bombers to attack Manhattan subways in 2009. The men were arrested before they could act.
Al-Qaida dispatched Badat in 2001 on a suicide mission, but he backed out.
British authorities tracked him down two years later using evidence found on shoe-bomber Richard Reid.
Reid tried to bring down a plane in December 2001. He's serving a life sentence in a high-security U.S. prison.
