Police: All hostages out of Indiana realty office

VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -- Police say all hostages have been released from an Indiana real estate office where a gunman had held them for several hours.

Valparaiso Police Sgt. Michael Grennes says only the gunman remains inside the Prudential Executive Group Real Estate office Friday afternoon.

Grennes says the last two hostages got out of the building within the past hour. A man was released about an hour ago and a woman was released about a half-hour later.

Police say the gunman had gone to the business because he believed someone there owed him money.

Grennes says officers exchanged shots with the gunman when they arrived on the scene, but there are no reports of anyone being shot. One person was struck in the head during the incident but was treated and released from a hospital.
