Nampa, ID (WVLT) -- A soldier surprises his stepdaughter at school when he comes home from the Middle East.
Tyler Stansell has been fighting in Afghanistan with the Navy for a year. When he knew he was coming back home to Idaho, he wanted to surprise his 9-year-old stepdaughter, Tylar, at her school. The principal and teachers helped him out with the planning and the class welcomed him home with patriotic songs and flags.
After Tylar finally stopped squeezing her stepfather, he answered some questions for her classmates about his experience in Afghanistan.
