OAKLAND, Pa. (CBS/ AP) -- Police say two people are dead and several have been injured in a shooting at a psychiatric clinic at the University of Pittsburgh.
Authorities did not say how many people were hit in the Thursday afternoon shooting at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. But sources say at least five people were shot.
There is no word on the conditions of the people who were wounded. However, one gunman may have been shot and killed.
A SWAT team is on the scene.
Pittsburgh media reported that at least one officer had been shot in the leg and was taken for treatment.
The clinic describes itself on its website as a top academic-based psychiatric care center. Pitt's psychiatry department is part of the clinic.
