Anti-abortion activists unfurl sign on mesa

DENVER (AP) -- Anti-abortion activists have unfurled a huge sign on a mesa west of Denver equating the Democratic National Convention with abortion, but later removed it at the request of authorities.

The three-line sign placed on Table Mountain in Golden Tuesday said "Destroys uNborn Children," with the capital letters D-N-C lined up vertically.

The Denver-based American Right to Life Action organization took responsibility for placement of the sign on the more than 65-hundred-foot flattop mountain.
