McCain hugs Palin upon his arrival in Twin Cities

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- John McCain has arrived in Minnesota, where delegates are set to formally nominate him for president Wednesday night at the Republican National Convention.

McCain's wife, Cindy, and other members of his family greeted him at the airport. Also on hand was running mate Sarah Palin and some of her family members.

McCain exchanged hugs with Palin and her 17-year-old daughter, Bristol. He shook hands with Bristol's 18-year-old boyfriend Levi Johnston. The Alaska governor announced this week that Bristol is five months pregnant and that she will marry Johnston.

The candidates and families have headed into the Twin Cities aboard a campaign bus.

Palin will speak to the party gathering tonight. McCain's speech is set for Thursday.
