WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush and Vice President Cheney each say there's nothing to stop Sarah Palin from serving well in the White House.
Bush tells Fox News Channel that Palin has "had executive experience" -- and he says "that's what it takes to be a capable person" in the executive branch in Washington.
He say John McCain made an "inspired pick" for his running mate.
Bush was a two-term Texas governor, but came to Washington without any experience in national office.
Earlier today, Cheney told reporters in Rome that he "loved" Palin's convention speech. And he said there's "no reason why Sarah Palin can't be a successful vice president in a McCain administration."
