Biden taps Michigan governor as Palin stand-in for debate

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Joe Biden is substituting one governor for another as he prepares for next month's vice presidential debate.

The Delaware Democrat has tapped Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm to be the stand-in for Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Biden is predicting that Palin will try to make their debate "as personal as she can," but says he won't take the bait.

He says Granholm, a Harvard Law School grad, has agreed to spend four days with him to help get ready for the October 2nd debate in St. Louis.
