FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Unregistered Kentuckians looking to weigh in on the presidential campaign between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are running out of time.
Secretary of State Trey Grayson says Kentucky's voter registration deadline is Oct. 6. That's next Monday.
Citizens can register at their local county clerk's office or by mail. Mailed in registrations must be postmarked by Oct. 6.
Seventeen-year-olds who will turn 18 on or before Election Day may register. People who have recently moved may need to reregister.
Voter information and registration material is available online at www.vote.ky.gov/electguide.
So far, nearly 2.9 million Kentuckians are registered to vote in the Nov. 4 election.
