Washington (AP) -- Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign says it's raised more than $32 million from April through June.
That's a record for a Democrat running for the White House.
It's also more than what Obama's main Democratic rival says she'd raise. Aides to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton have said she would raise "in the range" of $27 million in the April-through-June period. They also predicted that Obama would do better.
Only Republican George W. Bush, in each presidential campaign, has raised comparable amounts in the second quarter of the year before the general election.
Among other Democrats, John Edwards was a distant third, raising more than $9 million in the same period. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson was next, with $7 million raised.
