WASHINGTON (AP) -- For the second time in a week, the John McCain campaign is seeing a major staff shake-up.
McCain says he accepts "with regret" the resignations of Terry Nelson and John Weaver. Nelson had been campaign manager, and Weaver was chief strategist.
Also leaving today are political director Rob Jesmer and deputy campaign manager Reed Galen.
McCain is trailing some of his Republican rivals in money and in the polls. But he disputes the idea that the staff changes reflect his campaign's troubles. And he says he "of course" will remain in the race for the GOP presidential nomination.
