NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Last July, Anderson County put the words "In God We Trust" above their courthouse doors. If a Sen. Stacey Campfield bill passes, those words will adorn the Tennessee Capitol Building by 2015.
Campfield and Rep. Mike Sparks (R-Smyrna) sponsor bills in the Senate and House, respectively, that would put a sign with the words "In God We Trust" on the Capitol if passed.
The signs would have to be up by January 1, 2015.
Debate begins Tuesday in the House's State Government committee.
