NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Secretary of State's Division of Elections Office has set up a toll-free hotline number for anyone with questions or concerns or voting in this Tuesday's election.
Staff members will be on hand throughout the the day Tuesday and will stay into the evening hours, according to Secretary of State Tre Hargett.
The number is 1-877-850-4959 .
Anyone with questions about polling locations and hours should contact their local election commission offices, Hargett added. A list of county election offices can be found at http://tnsos.org/elections/election_commissions.php.
Hargett also used the occasion to remind voters they will need to bring proper photo identification with them when they vote. State or federally issued photo IDs, with the exception of college student IDs, are acceptable, he said.
The Tennessee Supreme Court also recently ruled that Memphis library cards qualify as well.
Voters who show up at the ballot box without a photo ID will be required to fill out a provisional ballot and then return to their local election commission office with proper identification before the close of business on Thursday, Hargett explained.
