NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A bill that would give Lake City the authority to change their name to "Rocky Top" is heading to Governor Bill Haslam's desk.

The Tennessee Senate unanimously approved their local consent agenda Thursday morning, which contained a bill that allows Lake City to change their name.

Lake City wants to make the change to produce tourism for the Anderson County city. Rocky Top Bottling Company wants to open up a amusement park and resort with the Rocky Top theme, but city officials must change the city's name first.
