Trial date set for Downsbrough

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Former UT Foundation Executive Bruce Downsbrough appeared in federal court Tuesday.

A judge set a trial for November 5th, and if he decides to enter a plea, the cut off date is October 22nd.

He'll answer for five counts of possessing child porn.

Last time in court, investigators testified Downsbrough said he keeps child porn so he won't molest young boys.

The judge denied bond, and he will remain behind bars until the trial begins.
