1 dead, 2 injured in triple shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP/WVLT) -- Memphis police say a man is dead after he was shot while trying to rob a man and a woman in a driveway.

Police say 22-year-old Darius Davis was armed with a gun when he approached a 25-year-old male and a 24-year-old female early Saturday and attempted to rob them. Police say he shot both the man and the woman, and the man returned fire and struck Davis.

All three were taken to the Regional Medical Center, where Davis was pronounced dead.
