CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a 10-year-old Ooltewah girl is recovering after a copperhead bite.
The mother of Allyson Reed told WRCB-TV her daughter was bitten on the foot twice by a baby copperhead Saturday night when she went outside to let her dog out.
Reed was taken to the hospital immediately and is expected to be released this week.
