Imus to New TV Home: Nashville-Produced RFD-TV

NEW YORK (AP) -- The RFD cable channel is picking up a simulcast of radio personality Don Imus' new show from New York.

Rural Media Group has studios for its RFD channel in Nashville.

The radio show will be simulcast on weekdays from 6-9 a.m., and will be rebroadcast from 6-9 p.m. Rural Media Group founder and president Patrick Gottsch says program will also be available to RFD's nearly 30 million homes through on-demand services.

Citadel Broadcasting, which also has stations in Tennessee, announced two weeks ago it was bringing back Imus to host the morning drive show on its WABC-AM in New York City.

Imus is a Hall of Fame broadcaster who was fired eight months ago for his on-air comment about the Rutgers University women's basketball team.
