LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say a Bethpage teenager conceived a murder-for-hire plot, offering a friend thousands to kill her mother in hopes of getting millions in insurance money.
Police arrested 18-year-old Joshua Hayden Stubblefield yesterday. He's an 18-year-old senior at Watertown High School in Wilson County.
Stubblefield is accused of agreeing to kill the mother of his friend, 19-year-old Lauren Ashley Morrow.
Police said they arrested Stubblefield after undercover investigators, who were acting on a tip, sold him a weapon that was to be used in the crime.
Morrow and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Andrew Bruce Bland, were arrested at their Sumner County home Tuesday evening. All three are charged with conspiracy to commit felony murder.
