Tennessee Congressman Submits Bill Richardson for 5th Nobel Nomination

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressman Bart Gordon of Murfreesboro has nominated Bill Richardson for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Gordon cited Richardson's diplomatic efforts with countries like Sudan and North Korea.

The congressman said Richardson is willing to go around the world and work with all parties.

Earlier this year, former Vice President Al Gore of Tennessee shared the honor with six scientists for their work to raise awareness about global warming.

Richardson is governor of New Mexico and a Democratic candidate for president.
