Three charged with arson following mosque fire

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say three suspects have been charged with arson following a fire that destroyed a mosque.

The fire at the Islamic Center of Columbia is believed to have started around 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Later that night authorities arrested 19-year-old Jonathan Stone, 23-year-old Michael Golden and 32-year-old Eric Baker -- all from Columbia.

Investigators also found drawings of swastikas and other graffiti at the center.

Authorities said Sunday that the men are being held in the Maury County Jail and face possible federal charges for attacking a house of worship and other federal crimes.
