JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) -- A raccoon has caused about 7,800 people in Crockett County to lose their power.
The Gibson Electric Membership Corp. says the customers lost power Friday morning after a raccoon came in contact with a piece of equipment at an Alamo substation, zapping the critter and disrupting the system.
The outage began at 5:40 a.m., and power was restored by 6:15 a.m.
