Murderer accidentally released from Tenn. prison captured

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A convicted murderer who was accidentally released from a Tennessee prison last month has been captured in Atlanta.

Thirty-five-year-old Edgar Bailey Jr. was apprehended at this father's house early Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

State Department of Correction spokeswoman Dorinda Carter says a clerical error allowed Bailey to leave the South Central Correctional Facility in Clifton on April 22.

Carter says he was released because of confusion over a court ruling.
