NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Officials say a firefighter was killed and two others were injured in a fire at a cafe in Parsons early Saturday.
The Decatur County Sheriff's Office told WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/Ilmumj ) that the firefighters were injured while they were responding to a fire that broke out at the Oak Hill Cafe on Highway 412 West in Parsons, about 100 miles southwest of Nashville.
According to the Decatur County Rescue Squad, the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m., but the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The other two firefighters were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for burn injuries.
The names of the firefighters have not been released.
