NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Two Nashville firefighters have been injured while battling a house fire.
According to The Tennessean, one of the firefighters was transported in critical condition.
Assistant Chief Ricky Taylor said the effort to extinguish the blaze in a one-story house Thursday night was going routinely until one of the crews noticed a firefighter was down. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The nature of his injury wasn't immediately known.
A second firefighter was later taken to a hospital with minor face and neck burns.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
