2 children die in Montgomery County house fire

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Two children have died in a house fire near Clarksville.

The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports that the bodies of a 12-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy were pulled from the burning home in southern Montgomery County.

The cause of the fire was unknown Monday afternoon. The blaze took about an hour to bring under control.

A sheriff's deputy was cut by glass as he entered the home and required stiches.
