West Memphis teacher, husband arrested on drug charge

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) -- West Memphis police say they arrested a high school teacher and her husband after they tried to buy prescription pain medication from a student.

Officers say Tracie Lowman, a biology teacher at West Memphis High School, and her husband, Gregory Lowman, were arrested. School officials say they discovered the proposed drug buy and called police.

Officers say they conducted an undercover sting operation to make the arrests.
