Family argument ends with stepson shot to death

CORNERSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police have arrested a Middle Tennessee man and charged him in connection with the shooting death of his stepson.

Marshall County Sheriff's Capt. Norman Dalton says family members called 911 after 31-year-old Timothy Swaw of Columbia was shot at a close range during a family argument.

Swaw was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The Marshall County Tribune reports police arrested 51-year-old Donnie Sullivan of Cornersville and charged him with criminal homicide. He is being held without bond in the Marshall County Jail and will make his first court appearance Feb. 24.
