WAVERLY, Tenn. (AP) -- Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis has placed three deputies on administrative leave with pay while the alleged beating of a suspect is reviewed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Davis said in a statement Monday his department will cooperate with the investigation. The deputies were not identified.

Ring was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with aggravated assault on police officers and resisting arrest.
