New sex charges against West Tenn. bus driver

ALAMO, Tenn. (AP) -- Additional sex charges have been filed against a Crockett County school bus driver.

Sheriff Troy Klyce said Billy Glidwell of Gadsden now also faces charges of aggravated statutory rape by an authority figure and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The 47-year-old Glidwell was initially charged with the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl who rode the bus he drove.

The Jackson Sun reported Glidwell was free on bond on the earlier charge and a telephone number listed for him had been disconnected.

The newspaper reported the alleged victim has filed for an order of protection against Glidwell.

A county schools official said Glidwell is suspended without pay, pending resolution of the charges.
