JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- A Johnson City woman died in the Washington County jail.
The Johnson City Press reported that 51-year-old Donna L. Patillo was found slumped in her cell Tuesday evening during meal time. She was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said Patillo had a medical history and was prescribed several medications.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is helping with the investigation of her death.
The newspaper reported that Patillo was the fifth inmate to die this year while in the jail's custody.
