NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A fast moving low pressure system from Canada is expected to bring snow across most of Tennessee this weekend.
The National Weather Service predicts sleet and snow will begin in northwest Tennessee on Saturday night, and the Nashville area could see up to an inch of snow.
As a cold front moves in, more snow showers are expected across the state on Sunday, including in East Tennessee.
Light accumulations are expected, with isolated amounts of up to 4 inches possible near the Kentucky border and significant accumulations possible in the higher elevations. Lows in the 20s and 30s are predicted.
Lingering light snow will continue into Monday.
Light snow is also expected in Memphis on Sunday evening with a 30 percent chance of snow there on Presidents Day.
