NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A 2-year-old missing from Middle Tennessee has been found safe after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert for him.
Cael Whitehead was recovered safely Wednesday afternoon, more than 150 miles from his home in Houston County northwest of Nashville.
Authorities told WSMV-TV that his father, 23-year-old Austin Whitehead, was taken into custody.
Sheriff's officials said three truck drivers who knew about the Amber Alert spotted Whitehead's car traveling on Interstate 24 in Marion County, northwest of Chattanooga.
Authorities said the truckers were able to box in the car and force it to stop.
The alert had described Whitehead as threatening suicide and a danger to others.
